VWS (UK) Ltd is celebrating winning one of the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards in 2010. VWS (UK) Ltd is the registered name for Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, ELGA Proces Water and ELGA LabWater.
The Gold Medal (7 consecutive Golds) award will be presented at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on Tuesday, May 11th. The ceremony will take place alongside Safety & Health Expo 2010, Europe's leading annual health and safety exhibition.
The RoSPA Awards scheme is not only about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; it also encourages organisations to develop robust health and safety management systems.

The majority of awards are non-competitive and mark achievement which is graded at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Organisations maintaining high standards can win gold medals, President's Awards and Orders of Distinction.
Competitive awards go to the best entries in 23 individual industry sectors and there are special awards for workforce involvement, training, occupational health, environmental management and the management of occupational road risk. There is also a trophy for the best organisation operating or based in Scotland. RoSPA's top accolade is the Sir George Earle Trophy.
The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2010 are sponsored by NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), the leading health and safety professional examining body.
This year, three days of award ceremonies will be held in Birmingham from May 11-13th and gala dinners will be hosted by Lord Jordan of Bournville, RoSPA President, Lord Hunt of Wirral, RoSPA Vice-President and Lord Brougham and Vaux, RoSPA Vice-President, for representatives of award-winning organisations. An award ceremony will also take place in Glasgow in September.
