VWS Oil & Gas, a division of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies, was visited by the French Foreign Trade Minister at the recent Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas.
Mme Anne Marie IDRAC, the French Minister of State for Foreign Trade attended the Offshore Technology Conference which took place in Houston on 3rd - 6th May. The show is the largest offshore conference in the world and this year pulled in 72,900 visitors, the largest turnout for 28 years.
Staff at the VWS Oil & Gas booth had the chance to have a short conversation with Mme Idrac and were happy to discuss Veolia Water's involvement in the Oil & Gas industry. Sales Manager,
Graeme Orr said, "Mme Idrac asked about the significance of a water treatment company in the Oil & Gas industry and we explained how water treatment is essential for the production phase of the process. In brief, without water treatment, oil companies would be unable to produceoil. We were also happy to report to the Minister of State that Veolia Water and her subsidiary Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies are very heavily involved in water treatment in this industry".
