High quality CPI separator
The TiPSS technology is based on separation of gas, fluids or solids by gravity. The velocity of settling or flotation of a compound is determined by:
- differences in density
- size of the particle/droplet
- viscosity of the fluid
Once these parameters have been determined the required settling and/or flotation surface area can be calculated.
In most industrial areas space is limited. Tilted Plate technology minimizes the required surface area very effectively by using inclined plates that are placed on top of each other. Each plate providing its own settling and flotation surface area.
The design should however consider various factors like laminar flow conditions, evenly flow distribution over the plate pack and optimal discharge of settled and floated matter.
